2024.07.03 Bridging the Gap in Health Literacy: Harnessing the Power of Large Language Models to Generate Plain Language Summaries from Biomedical Texts
Preprint
Health literacy is key to making informed health decisions, but complex medical info can be hard for many to understand. This study found that using NLP and GPT models can help automate the process of creating simpler, easy-to-understand summaries, showing promise for improving health literacy and making healthcare info more accessible to everyone.
